It is with great pleasure that Richard and his team introduce to you some of his most recent works and experiences from the historic county of Lancashire, England. Please feel free to browse the site or make an investment. There is a good selection of original paintings or signed prints available.
Richard has been painting and drawing all of his life, he combines his love of the countryside, his Lancashire heritage and his spiritual connection with the landscape to help him to create his beautiful artwork. Richard is a keen hill walker and often spends many hours with his dog Bill amongst the windswept Lancashire countryside exploring the environment which surrounds him.
It is through his art that Richard continues this legacy of highlighting Lancashire's natural beauty and his love for it. Richard is a keen conservationist and believes it is very important to try to live in balance with the natural world.

This snow scene depicts the moors above Gambleside in Rossendale. The cross ( Cromptons Cross ) marks the site of a much older cross. In fact three once stood in close proximity here by the side of a ancient packhorse interchange. The crosses may have marked a pilgrimage route to Whalley Abbey about 10 miles away. This beautifully recorded Lancashire hill farm shows all the energy and colour associated with the scene. Many small hill farms such as this are under threat due to the pressures to intensify their produce resulting in mass factory farms. Sean and his partner Helen are very much concerned with the protection of this beautiful and largely misunderstood creatures. I was lucky enough to meet the couple in Devon in 2009. This rare image shows a farm close to the historic Lancashire village of Chipping. The farm has re-used a trailor from the local Chipping chair works.
